Driver Policy
Coastal Petroleum Suppliers is committed to the elimination of road accidents and the improvement of road safety. Our culture is based on the SOPAF Drive to Live and Arrive Alive training programme. As BVO's / drivers are a critical part of the CPS team, a strong focus is placed on the selection and training of BVO's / drivers.
The BVO / driver selection process is based on:
A minimum age of 25 years (for dangerous goods transport).
A valid medical certificate as required by the National Road Traffic Act No. 93 of 1996, which will be renewed annually.

Being verbally and numerically literate in English and preferably have a minimum qualification of Grade 12 certificate.
Having a legal and valid drivers license with three (3) years blame free accident driving experience at the appropriate code level.
Having a valid Professional Drivers Permit for Dangerous Goods known as “Prof.Driving Permit:D,G,P.”.
References could be verified, deemed necessary.
